Kill switch for HFL

Thinking about installing a kill switch for the HFL to prevent battery drain. Anyone know which wire is the power wire on the green connector that plugs into the HFL module?

I don't have a pic of the wires but here's a pic of the green connector (upper right corner).

Does HandsFree Link drain the battery even when it's working properly? That's the first I've heard of that.

Yes and no. Per the various reports I've read here, "Working properly" can be defined in at least two ways:
  • My HFL is fully functional and doesn't drain the battery even after a month of the car not being driven.
  • My HFL is still fully functional, but if I don't drive the car at least every other day, the HFL drains the battery.

It's unplugged but I want the RL to be fully functional, which includes the factory HFL.

Yes it can be fully functional and still drain the battery. The factory HFL drains about 1 amp with the ignition off.

My battery hasn't died because I caught it early and unplugged the HFL before it could do serious damage.

I have noticed in the COVID era of infrequent driving that my battery really lacks a sense of humor about going undriven for more than a week at a time. Whether my HFL module is a culprit, I have no idea. Of course, we all know these cars have undersized batteries and marginal electrical system capacity in any case, so I guess there's precious little room for error.

My 2006 goes weeks on end during the time of COVID, the only casualty was the starter; it would get sleepy and refuse to work after a long rest; if I drove it several times in a week, all was good. A new (remanufacured) Denso starter cured the issue. As things stand now, my car, with HFL intact, has gone over a month without being started, and it fires right up every time.
