July Sales Results
Doesn't look like very many of the RL's sold, only 532. I wonder how many were the '09's and how many the '08's?

Lexus GS - 1,297; - 38.7%
Infiniti M 970; - 42.1%
Acura RL 532; - 12%
I know that it is a small victory but the RL's slip was a lot less & it definitely brings its #s closer to the rivals.

It seems the RL's sales have really leveled off.
to those of us in the secret club of RL owners!
I like the external styling, especially with new wheels.
Hey Doc, you got a great deal on that Infiniti, enjoy the car!

I noticed since posting the link to the July sales that Acura has removed the number of RL sales of 532 from the release!?! What's up with that? Maybe they're not too proud of that number. I've re-posted the original paragraph.
The line in bold is what Acura removed from the original release.
Further evidence that four-cylinder power and smart packaging are in high demand, the turbocharged RDX crossover SUV set a new July sales record of 1,384 units. The TL performance luxury sedan posted sales of 3,961 vehicles making it the top selling Acura for July while RL luxury performance sedan sales tallied 532 units. Acura light truck sales for July were led by the MDX luxury SUV with 3,477 units. Acura year-to-date** sales are 90,742 units, down 14.8 percent versus 2007 sales.

Say, anyone expect 3GTL sales to jump after the release of pics of the new one?
There was an article today's WSJ about BMW cutting production and raising prices, seems the brand is cheapening. In that article it had the incentives by automaker for June, might explain why RL sales are sluggish compared to the others (this is not incentive by model, just brand):
BMW: $4,680
MB: $4,692
Audi: $4,085
Lexus: $1,557
Acura: $1,841
Seems that the leasing deals BMW was giving really hurt their bottom line.
These number should suggest that Acura resale values will be better down the line as sales prices are closer to MSRP.

I think it has part to do with that RL commercial I see all the time is horrible. Like it mentions snow but whos going to know that means the car has XM weather? Redo the commercial.

That is a terrible commercial for the RL. I've seen it a couple of times and the point that hits home is that this car can show where to buy a good steak.
They should take a lesson from Reebok. I like that new Migration commercial with the Train Song sung by that diva from the 1970's. They hired one of the world's top producers to create the commecial and it shows.
I'm beginning to think the RL is just being phased out because Acura doesn't appear to be investing much into promoting sales.
