The St Petersburg Grand Prix was a shared event. It was billed as the "St Petersburg - Honda Grand Prix" and the "Acura Sportscar Challenge".

Acura banners were more prevelant than Honda.

It was a BLAST! I cannot wait until next year.

Yeah, I agree. I live in Indy and will be going to the 500 this year, as I do most years. I hope to see some Acura banners/advertisements. I actually saw Dan Wheldon at our Acura dealership a couple of years ago, he was getting a black 06 RL, A-Spec with all the goodies. Free of charge I was told. Must be nice.

Actually we met her at a Radio Shack here on the north side of Indy while she was doing a promotion. They had a couple of Civic Si there with her Motorola paint scheme. Can't say I looked at the cars much though.

IRL\CART\Indy is a joke, even with all Honda engines.
ALMS is the series to watch in the States, and Acura has entries there.

I'd say watch an F1 race, but not at Indy...Montreal is the best place to watch an F1 race in North America.

F1 races? How many passes/lead changes do they have in an entire race: 2 or 3?
I watched an IRL race at Infineon (Sonoma, CA road course). It was fantastic.

I have 3 words for you.....Full course yellow..manufactured racing. Just like the WWE of Motorsport...Nascar. F1 is even starting to use the "Safety Car" way to much.

I couldn't care less about passing or lead changes...it's about the fastest car winning to me...whether it's by a thousansth of a second or more than a lap.

I guess we all look for different things in racing, sounds like you probably prefer Rally racing as well if you just want to see who gets to the end first and fastest. ESPN recaps are good for that. Having been to all the races offered at the Indianapolis Speedworld I would say they all have merit for different reasons, it depends on what you enjoy. I agree that F1 in Montreal is far better than at Indy, which is a mute point anyway because F1 doesn't occur at Indy any longer. What I found most impressive about the F1 races were their ability to negotiate turns on the infield so precisely, it is a marvel to watch. I think the Indy 500 and to a much lesser extent, the Allstate 400 have a certain nostalgia. Just being there with such an enormous audience gives you goosebumps. Ultimately, I think race fans appreciate one on one racing, and how they get to the end, not just who gets there first... it's an excitement factor, but to each their own.

Kind of difficult to not put a full course yellow out on an oval. And I would like to see many more IRL road courses. Watching the Nascar guys at Infineon is more fun than watching F1.
Agree with Tuna - to each his own. I personally think that IRL (and perhaps even Nascar) relies more on driving skill than car technology. Example: Paddle Shifters. Do they still have dynamic computer adjusted suspension or did they finally out law that
The F1 races are boring. You win the pole and 80% of the time you win the race.

The best drivers in the world are in F1....not all of them but the top 7-10 are.

F1 drivers that can't cut it in F1 any more Like Mansell and Emerson went to CART and cleaned up. Even a backmarker like Zanardi in F1 cleaned up in CART.

Still laughing about Michael Andretti's attempt at F1 in the early 90's
