How do I know the color shade of my interior?

Hey guys, this seems pretty obvious but I ask because the person I bought my 2005 celestial silver RL from purchased a replacement console vent because his kids broke the original one and he never got around to changing it. When I took it out of the package, the color was way off. More of a tan than the light gray or ivory color that I perceive. So I question if the interior is just faded, but I don't think it is. I found a picture online that matches the color of mine. Can anyone confirm the color this is? I also need to replace the arm rest leather on the console and door panels, so I want to make sure I get the color right before ordering. Thanks!
What color is this interior?

Yes, that is taupe, which is basically gray.

thanks guys. Now I know what color leather to order from ebay! Though I was really hoping there would be an interior color code in the door jamb or somewhere like most cars have.

They used to have that sticker until Acura decide not to put on the door jam.

Be careful with ebay stuff. I ordered the center arm rest leather from the guy in Texas. He advertises it as gray/taupe. It's not taupe, it's grey and doesn't really match the seats. It does match the doors, dash and steering wheel, however. I'm going to install it, but just be warned, it's not a perfect match. Taupe is more of a beige, not gray.

so now I wonder if I should get the ivory colored kit for the armrest and gray/taupe for the door panels... The interior in this car is all over the place. Maybe I'll just pay an upholsterer to do it for me. They could just match the colors to what they have on hand.

Now you're putting your thinking cap on!!

Definitely a much better approach.

I'm the type of person that if I can do it myself, I prefer to. It pains me to pay someone else to do this, but it seems like the best way to get the right match.

Definitely feel you on the "I'd rather do it myself". OTOH I'm too anal/ocd about how stuff looks and I'd take thoiboi's approach and pay someone who knows what they are doing when it comes to something that's in front on my eyes and so visible...
