Looks like it’s still more than plug and play. I checked for install instructions but didn’t find any.

Ive done the install but haven’t had a chance to drive at night yet. For DRL they are MUCH brighter.

Huge difference in standard vs LED

Better for day. About the same at night.

Finally took it out for a night drive. The brightness is about the same. If you get these you get much brighter daytime running lights, no dash warning and similar high beams.

The install is easy but I did remove the battery to make it easier. There are no instructions included. I called telephone support and they answered the phone but the help is mostly limited to, “it’s pretty self explanatory.” The hardware seems quality. It remains to be seen how long they last.

Some more info.

They have little fans on the back of them. The fan don’t run in the DRL position but do when being used as high beams. Also, it’s important to make sure they are installed with the LEDs shining at the three and nine o’clock position. I got the less blue color and I’m glad I did. They are very clean white looking.

All in all they are a good refresh for the car and considering how much you can spend on high end halogens, not that much more for something new. It remains to be seen how long they last.

Follow up

Now that we have dreary, rainy days I’ve noticed people are flashing me if only the DRL are on. They are too bright to be ignored. The solution is to turn on the low beams. I also have to do this in parking garages.

I recently installed the LED kit from Alla Lighting. (https://allalighting.com/products/hb...=OrderlyEmails)
Brightness is incredible when the high beams are turned on, much brighter than the Philips halogen lights I had in previously. The light from the LEDs is whiter than the stock low beam HIDs, but it is a clean white. (I was worried about the lights having a blue tint, which I've found makes it hard to see at night.) The DRL setting is not any brighter than the halogens as far as I can tell, definitely much dimmer than the car's low beams.
I will update if anything goes wrong long-term, I am hoping these will last a little longer than the halogens, I have been required to replace the high beams every 30k miles or so as long as I can remember.
