Has anyone manged to upgrade Canadian RL with US features?

I'm wondering if anyone has managed to upgrade the Canadian version of the 05 RL with its American counterpart's features such as Acura Link, XM, traffic, etc? It's on the later Canadian RL versions and it's on the American 05 RL so should in theory support those features.

what you should do is buy one from canada and you will get it even cheaper with your us funds. If you find one around my area i'll take a look at it for you.

What about the warrenty?
the only way I am going to buy a RL is if it is under factory warrenty so I can get a acuracare extended warrenty, I though if i bought a canadian RL warrenty would be VOID in USA

Someone here was planning to retrofit the US seat with a Canadian seat, but he never got to it.

I am sure that this particular change must be plug and play....

The problem is that the Canadian RL (Tech) is $70,000 as compared to $50,000 in the US. Even at 20% exchange rate (70/1.2=58), the Canadian RL is still way more expensive... In addition, Honda/Acura don't honour the warranty across the border nor allow private import (for obvious reasons I guess).

Yes, because it is cold here all year and we all live in igloos!!!

What a stupid thing to say but hey, it's what I expect from Americans....

Oh and BTW they aren't AC seats just ventilated. It doesn't do much in very warm weather and is better suited for mild temperatures or long drives (in any temp) but what do I know since apparently we have no summer here and those 30+ C temps I experience are all in my head.

Hey Rob, calm down man....the frustration is more that Acura decided to cut corners like this to save $$$. I agree that StonedCL might have found a more diplomatic way to say what he did, though.
