Finally I am an official member.

I have been roaming around this site for years. First i wanted a TSX then a TL then a RL. Got a good deal on a certified RL and had to take it. I finally got a Black RL with the tan interior. Car is beautiful. I am in LOVE. I was debating for months if i should buy it or not. Once i drove off that lot with it i knew i made the right decision. I am in the process of reading the book now to learn all i can about the car. It is great to be driving one of the best cars on the market. Too bad more people don't know about it. Maybe its because i'm coming from a 4 cylinder engine but that V6 has some real power to it. Damn i feel like going to drive it now. But thanks to everyone in this forum i decided to buy this car over the M35x. I now know that i made the best decision. Next week i will tint the car then i will debate if i wanna put some rims on it or now. If anyone has a tips on things i can do in the car please tell because there is sooo much i will need to learn about it and its features.

oh and by the way that SH-AWD is AMAZING i mean i took a turn today and watched how the power just transfers from side to side and the car handles like its on rails it is rediculous. This is a real car.

Welcome to our exclusive club! My choice was also between M35x, RL, and keeping my TL. Was a difficult decision, but I clearly made the right choice despite the qvetching you read about Acura corporate on this site.

As for things you can do now:
a) put your purchase details in the RL Owner's thread.
b) definitely put some rims on it, any rims are better than the stocks
c) look at my signature, or at Touge's picture thread, for mod ideas.

And again, welcome!

Welcome to the club, and yes you did make a very good decision. Take it from the tester. I have driven them all and overall, it is THE best as far as I am concerned. The car is so good, I am afraid the Acura might not be able to top it, with the next gen. Have fun and take good car of it.

Welcome and congratulations.

I've owned my RL for a year and a half and after 24K miles, I love it even more now.

It's an awesome car.

Welcome. You bought an amazing car.

I highly recommend the A-Spec Acura suspension, especially if you to better handling, your roads might be slightly too rough though. Neuron Bob knows.

Enjoy.
Change fluids often it helps keep the longivity up on Acuras.

Welcome! I have a Black with Black interior. Black is awesome, but get ready for some washing to keep it clean.

Welcome to club and congratulations.

I am a TL convert and have never looked back since making the trade.

The car takes on a whole new beauty with the addition of wheels.

As for as tips are concerned, there are so many neat tech features to this car, where does one start!

Glad to have you! Black RL's look amazing, and all colors of them ARE amazingly good cars.

You're going to love your new ride.

(Now, just fix your sig line. )

Such good taste in a youngster! Welcome from us "seasoned" RL fans. Mine is a 2006 Tech (CMBS/PAX) in black/ebony...apart from the extra wash and wax requirements, black is the best color for the RL by far.

Now, how can you afford to think about mods right away after buying a pricey ride like that? Trust fund???

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I have roamed around this site forever but never really wanted to speak much since i wasn't a "real" member but now that i am, i will have plenty to say. I have 1 question though. Can i use the HFL to take over a call while i am on the phone after i get into the car or do i have to hang up and call the person back. Also since i haven't really programmed many numbers into the phonebook yet, can i make a call from my phone then use it through the HFL. Everytime i try to do it it doesn't seem to wanna work. I have 2 phones a Blackberry 8800 and the Blackberry Curve(8300) both with At&t.
Thanx in advance.

When you get in the car and start it, press the HFL/phone button and say "transfer".

It will transfer the call from your handset to the HFL. If you repeat that command, it'll transfer the call back to your handset.

You might have to make sure that the HFL is linked to the phone you are talking from. When my wife has her phone with her the HFL sometimes grabs her phone first and of course the transfer will not work unless your are linked to the phone your are talking to. To see which phone the HFL is linked to hit the HFL button and say "phone setup", the say "status" The HFL will tell you which phone you are linked, if you want to link to the other phone while in phone setup mode, say "next phone" and it will search for the next phone and link. Hope this helps.
