I have a silver 2005 RL and I'm not sure of the actual color. I think there are three silvers. Can the color code be derived from the VIN number?

I'm not sure about how to tell based on the VIN, but there should be a sticker on the driver's door jamb with a color code on it like one of the following:
B522M is Meteor Silver Metallic
NH685M is Celestial Silver Metallic
NH686M is Lakeshore Silver Metallic

 

I tested it using the VIN decoder on Acurazine:

It didn't show my color code. However, if you click on the "Colors" tab after you run your VIN, you can see the various two letter designations for each color code. Those two letters will be found on the same tag as your VIN.
