Deck Lid Spoiler OBP
Deck Lid Spoiler OBP
Sorry I don't take the best pictures but I really love what the spoiler has done for the car. You have to see it in person, as you do with the paint to appreciate it. Tampa I highly recommend you pull the trigger. Did it myself without the screws and everything went well. Added some super heavy duty outdoor double sided tape like Bob did a few years back and if it worked for him in Cleveland it will work for me.

Very nice. Thanks for posting.
It is amazing how seeing things in the same color as your own car makes such a difference. I am completely 50 / 50. I like the clean sculpted look of the RL without it. I also like the look with it. And small changes do 'renew' the car's appeal over time.
I will ponder it. I wish it came with a magnetic application! Then I could pop it on and off as my fickle mood fit.
You should check if Mud Guards will fit with your wheels. They bring some weight down to the lower side of the car. I happen to have a set of 3 OPB new and one slightly scuffed one (road debris) to which you are welcome.

Thanks for the comments. Tampa I may have to talk to you about that, I will check with the dealer to see if they would fit. Also I could take the scuffed one to the body shop. I will let you know.

Tampa,
You could place a magnetic strip cut to fit on one side of double sided tape and have your magnetic installation that you could pop off.
You will have to proceede with caution because the flexible magnetic strips I have seen are thin. Thin strips limit the magnetic force applied to the metal.
So the reason for caution is: It has to have enough force to prevent spoiler from flying off or moving when going down the road at 75 mph or max. driving speed.
If a thick strip was used to increase the magnetic strength it may make the spoiler look awkward sitting above the designed heigt. In essence your installing a spacer underneath the spoiler.
What I would suggest is carve out a spoiler from styrofoam. You could simply make a wedge profile using a table saw and that should suffice. Apply the thin magnetic strip to double sided tape and go down the road and see.
I bet it would only work if the strip was thick enough to get the force you need to keep it in place. So now the problem is that it would look awkward because the spoiler would be sitting too high.

I just didnt trust the tape install. Living in Fla I just thought the sun/heat would eventially break down the tape/glue. Cant imaging getting home and seeing nothing but a trail of tape on my trunk! Just my opinion though. Im just "unsecure"
(pun intended)
