Dash and Navi Screen Dim and Blanking out

Started today. Did not hit a bump or anything. Noticed it was kinda dim then dash, navi and info screen under speedo blanked out for about 2 seconds. Battery is about 6 months old. Alternator?

I feel like I remember you had some issues with your navigation drive on this vehicle? Could it be faulty?

In my 2005 RL, my clock lights flicker on and off. My navigation screen works fine. Have anyone had the same problems?

I have a dim Nav screen at initial startup on colder days. I heard it's a common problem on our cars but is also a property of LCD screens that would also happen if you left your laptop in your cold car overnight. Did anyone else hear or can confirm this?

My 2003 TLS navi screen comes on very dim, intermittently. At those times when it comes on dim, it usually takes a two or three minutes to attain full brightness. I just attribute it to the age of the system, but not really sure why it does this.
