Yeah, that's Sam's (Visionary Racing) RL. He used to be a member and sponsor here until the project was complete and decided to work on a Nissan GT-R next. I'd go with that as well!!!
If only I was "burdened" with those decisions...

When you get the AME wheels, I would be interested to hear your review. The Enkei MAT process is apparently a real alternative to forged wheels, and much more economical. I believe Sam said the AME Tracer FS-01 in 19 weigh about 22 lbs.
I was fortunate enough to procure a set of used, but excellent condition BBS RE forged wheels made for the RL, via private internet sale. 19x8.5 with a 48 mm offset and 64.1 mm bore. I would have never bought them new....too rich for my blood.
Removing original PAX wheels and tires and replacing with the 22 lb BBS and 255/40-19s was a 92 lb unsprung weight advantage. I swear the car feels lighter on its feet, and accelerates and stops better. The acceleration, or time to spool the engine up, anyway, is noticeable, and the same throttle inputs for when I was using the PAX is too much with these BBS wheels.
I now understand the advantage of forged wheels, or I should more properly say, removing unsprung weight. All the wheels I had purchased in the past for other cars were about the same weight, or even heavier than OEM, especially when combined with the usually wider, lower profile tires which tended to be heavier than stock.
The PAX equipped cars have different rear shocks than stock, tuned for the heavier PAX tires. I spent some time riding in the back seat with the lighter wheels on and experienced a much more jiggly ride than with the PAX. It was a higher frequency, almost nervousness, like a you hold out your hand after too much coffee and your fingers tremble. Sitting in the rear, this feeling was far more noticeable and obvious than sitting in the drivers seat. From the driver's seat, the car rides stiffer, but you don't get the high frequency jounces that you get in the rear seat.
Anyway, I would be interested to hear how the car drives, especially engine response, and rides with the lighter wheels, although you are probably only removing about 20 lbs of unsprung weight, not 92.

Doesn't do it for me....Don't like those wheels at all. Under car lights are tacky.
All the tires had over 40lbs of pressure?!?
Liked the ride height, but that's about it. Maybe if it was Black I would have liked it a little.

WOW!! That is a beautiful RL. I just love the 05-08 design, the 09 is an abomination....
I wonder what king of performance upgrades the car has....exhaust, CAI, pulley, etc. A supercharger would be a nice touch too....

Possibly more overall... I weighed the PAX wheel tire combo, and it came in at 75 lbs each.
I recall, but cannot confirm because forum search does not work, the 17" stock wheel weighs 28 lbs. Tire Rack says the stock tire weighs 26 pounds for a stock set up total of 54 lbs per wheel. So the difference is 21 lbs lighter for each corner or 84 lbs total over stock. Did I do the math right?
