Audio not working, please help!!!
I decided to changed the dead climate control bulbs today. After putting the whole radio console back in, I suddenly lost all functions of the audio. When I hit the "Audio" button below "Map" button, I heard the beep sound but nothing happened. Pressing the power button does nothing, none of the buttons on audio area works (XM, CD, Radio). However, anti-theft red LED still flashes.
I dont know what did I do wrong, unplug and plug back in all harness still does not help. I feel the unit get hot, any suggestion?

if you unplugged the stereo connections you need to put in the radio code i think since it lost power. If you dont have it, you can get it from the acura website thru this wierd automated thing lol i had to chat to someone to get my new code from a radio i bought off ebay

Yes it asked for the code. When I tried to get the code from https://radio-navicode.acura.com . It sent me the email with 14 different code for my unit. I tried 5 first ones and still didn't work. Since I only had 2 out of 10 times left before it got lock up again, I tried 2nd last code and it unlock my Audio. I just wonder why my unit has too many codes, is it normal? I got the serial by pressing 1 and 6 method. Thanks guys.

When I got my 2010 RL, I flew up to Indianapolis to pick it up and drive it to it's new Florida home. About an hour into my drive home I discovered why the car was as inexpensive as it was, when the CMBS/ACC/Airbag lights came on. After a call to the dealer, who mentioned these things tend to happen with a lot of Honda vehicles with big V-6's and the loaded electronics packages, I discovered a cracked positive battery terminal connector and thought that was the culprit. Kept on going to Florida thinking no big deal... In the process of figuring that out on the road home, I kept messing with the battery cable to try to tighten it up each time I stopped for a break and in the process I disconnected the battery and lost my radio at one point. Of course by then the dealers were all closed on the east coast, so I had to get creative... I ended up using the nav database to pull up the name of an Acura dealer on West Coast. I ended up speaking to a receptionist at an Acura dealer in San Fran area to whom I explained my situation. I gave her the year of the car and radio S/N and she started giving me codes over the phone. The 2nd one worked and I wrote it into my owners manual. I got lucky... Sounds like you did too, by picking the next-to last code of 14 and not turning your radio into a brick after 10 failed attempts.

There are only so many codes issued, so I'm thinking maybe radios from same "batch" or close serial number/same year car, etc.... have the same code. When you send info to get the codes, it's more of best-guess scenario, so rather than a response like "this is the code that will work for your radio" you're more likely to get a response that should be like "this code might work for your radio." As these cars age and people lose their Owners manual kits (how does that even happen?) this will likely become more and more of a topic here.

Wow, such a story getting the code. Thanks for sharing with us. How's your car now, any electronic issue? I got mine 06 RL last November at 108k, previous owner had everything services at dealer so far so good. I only miss the sport feeling of the TL but the RL is really heavy.
