Thinking about trading in my TL(2005) for a 2006 RL, my boss has the RL and I love it everytime I get in it.

Wonder what people are getting in trade ins?

Depends on how many miles you have, condition of the car, etc. But, I have heard recent figures of roughly $27-28k in the Atlanta area with 6-7k miles in good condition.

Last June my TL was totaled ant the ins company paid me current value (with 6500 miles on it) at $33+tax + $1000 in extra parts. So 27-28 seems like a fair number. Have you checked kbb.com, edmunds.com and nadaguide.com yet?

 

Not a trade in, but last month sold my 04 TL Navi with 34K miles to a private party for $23,600. I'm in the Denver area, and used Ebay. The buyer came in from the LA area.

 

I traded my 2004 TL for a 2005 RL about six weeks ago. I got $26,500 trade on my TL (with navi) which had 42,000 miles. I do need to add that my TL was in PRISTINE condition which helped me get top dollar. The RL that I bought was a demo, had about 3500 miles, and I got them to come off of sticker about $10,000. I bargained pretty hard and think I got a really good deal...hope that you can do the same...and you will fall in love with your RL even more than you did your TL!!

 

I dropped a sead with my local salesman, will see what it grows.

I traded my 05 Tl with 13K on it with nav got $30K. Bought a new 05 RL for $41.8 with tint.

I am quite happy. My TL's dash was a wavy mess but I really liked the car. I like the RL more and no wavy dash.

 

Not an '05 TL for an 06 RL, but I traded an '04 TL for a new '05 RL about two weeks ago. I was able to get full Blue Book for my '04 TL and $6,620 off sticker for the '05 RL.

BTW, the RL is spectacular!

 

Traded my 2004 Acura TL (NonNav) for a 2006 Acura RL lease last weekend. I could not afford the RL straight out, however with the 3 year lease, the buyout at the end is within my budget, and I plan to consider purchasing it after 2 years. I received $26,200 for my 2004 TL with 19500 miles.

I traded in my 10 month old, 7,500 miles, 05 TL with Navi on 8/11/2005. The dealer gave me $28,300 for my TL and got an 05 RL. Both the TL and the RL were leased so I took a small hit on the TL. But it was worth every penny since the RL is that much more of a car.

 

I just traded my 2004 TL w/ 19k miles for a 2005 RL.

They paid off the lease (buyout) and I only paid standard fees (~$1600) up-front. Difference (on a 36-month lease w/ 12k miles) was about $100.
