anyone install a aftermarket alarm/starter kit for their RL?

just wanted to see if anyone has done this with no problems. im thinking about getting a alarm/starter kit for my car... thx

i read on here and asked a few shops. it can be done. its costly compared to regular (non smart key) cars .
down side is when you open the door the car shuts off (prevents someone from driving off with your car).
so you would have to start it again when you get into the car.
i was quoted 400 out the door, dont have to give up key.

I just cant bring myself to carry two remotes, if they could integrate it I'd be more interested.

For now I will walk my big a$$ out there and start it.

i would...

leave that alone with an electronic pack RL. most shop will not touch it. if acura came out with a plug-in i would buy it... do not mess up your RL..!

you can use the oem fob to remote start your vehicle. you can have them program it so if you press unlock 3x or what ever you want it will start the car.
however, your range is limited to oem fob range (shitty)

^ i feel u on that but i get harsh winters here north of the boarder and it would be nice to jump in a warm car during those cold a** days and nights. lol
