damage

I bought it from a dealer 233 100% rating from 03, 23 years in business with a nice location. According to the report and a guy I talked to today, at the auction they tell you if it had frame damage so they had to know that. I tried to get my $500 back and they gave me sort of hell on that. How can I return the car if they gave me hell with just trying to get $500 back? tomorrow i am going to get a mechanic to put it on the lift and look for damage.

take it to a lexus dealer, they would know your car best.

Hey krava, glad you came back. It's entirely possible that the selling dealer didn't know about the frame damage, but I wouldn't assume it given it was mentioned at the auction. If there was a way to return the car, I'd try it, even with a lawyer, or threat of using a lawyer.

We're not Lexus haters here (I personally like the GS styling!) but we are not satisfied to see a fellow member get ripped off or drive a car that might be unsafe.

Agreed with Bob! Not a Lexus Hater at all. Give me a stright trade for my 05 RL for a 09 Lexus GS 350 any day!

After you contact the past owner & confirm with a mechanic about the frame damage i would suggest consulting a lawyer (to find out your rights and options) before speaking with dealership again.

new issue

It might be a small issue but today the check VSC light came on along with check engine (usually does this when gas cap isn't on good). If this is a major problem and lexus won't fix it then I have to take it back or sue them. I was told and also on the page itself remaining factory warranty. not a voided factory warranty. I really hate this decision. this could have been avoided several ways. if the guy that I was looking at the 06 RL would have charged the $1500 on my card then I would have gotten that one, or if they wouldn't have sold my 05 CPO or if i wouldn't have saw this one online

I think you should stick to current day and in my opinion, try to push the Lexus back citing un-mentioned car damage.

either way you should take it to the dealer to get the car inspected so you know exactly what you got.

This story makes me feel sick. I feel sad for you.

I guess a car can have a clean title (not a salvage) and still have frame damage? Damn.

Also, any luck with the phone numbers the OP got out of the GPS??

car check

None of those numbers helped out someone was suppose to call back and didn't, not sure who it was either. I had the mechanic look at the car and couldn't see any sign of frame damage (that is without taking off plastic pieces) no sign of paint overspray on anything. The VSC light is on because of a loose gas cap, even the mechanic said the car is fine, so I guess I am better now, thanks

better be safe than sorry, and I do suggest a full physical at a lexus dealer, obviously not the one you bought it from.

Those people want to find a problem and they won't charge you for diagnostic too much.
