Smile 250,000 miles!! 2005 rl

Other than an annoying "Check Driver's Airbag" light that comes on every few days, then goes away, the car is still kicking ass and is awesome!!

Let's see........ if gas averaged about $3 a gallon, that would mean you spent over $29,000.00 on gasoline so far.

Congatulations! True road warrior you are.

Wow! That's impressive!!

I hope my '05 RL (65,000 miles) can reach the same heights with minimal issues also.

Thanks for the updates. It truly is a confidence booster.

That is a lot of time in a car. I know the RL has changed my stress level when stuck in traffic. It is a very pleasant and comfortable place to be.

Now...let me see. Based on my calculations, your RL's durability should translate into 30+ years life in my RL based on my usage!

Beer is on me!

that's avg. ~200+ miles a day not including weekend.... that's enough to drive from coast to coast more than 40 times..... i think you got the highest mileage RL record

than again, I like to see the odo. go over 999,999 to see if it'll go back to 1 again:P just like startrek.... go where no one has gone before.....

I live in Raleigh, North Carolina. And you're right, getting to the air filter was a little more painful that I expected. I put my K&N air filter in at 30K.

This might be the highest mileage RL (2nd generation) in the entire world! However, am I the only one who noticed the snap shot was taken at 80mph?

250K wow!. I'm about to hit 100K, but I agree with you on mileage.
I can not get 25mpg especially at 80 mph. At 80, my instant mpg is barely 20.

I recently got 29.7 mpg on a 2 hour trek across state with the cruise set on 70mph. It was 94F and dry. Usual 93 octane fuel.

Before I got onto that highway and set the cruise I was at 21.3 mpg from mixed driving with 44 miles burned already. It crept up to 26mpg withing 30 mins and slowly inched up from 26 to 29+ in the next hour.

I have only seen over 30 mpg when resetting the MID and cruising / coasting immediately thereafter.

I got 32 mpg once with cruise control set at 85 on a trip to Arizona from Cali. I was really surprised, granted it was when my car wasn't a year old. I was really surprised because it wasn't expecting it, nor was I drafting behind other cars.

I live in cary with a 2007 Rl with 102,000 miles. Do you use the dealer or an independent. I have not been satisfied with Leith Acura.

I have a 2007 RL with 102,000 miles. Have had zero problems. Been using Mobil 1 since day one and have had all the routine maintenance done. I am expecting to run it until at least 300,000 miles. Love the car!! Have a friend at work with a Honda Del Sol with over 450,000 miles and has had no major problems.

My '06 is nearing the 40K mileage mark which I have been mildly stressing over. This thread puts that in perspective.
Still receiving unsolicited compliments on the car whether it has been in need of a wash or freshly waxed.

Plan on keeping this car for many years to come.

That's a great question...I was getting tempted to buy a VW Touareg V10 TDI, but my RL is so damn reliable, I might just have to go for 300K just to see what problems come up between now and then. After that, who knows...

You checked your air filter? At a constant 80, I was always getting around 29mpg.

You are our hero.

As I've said again, Acura needs to put you in an ad and pay you seriously for your time. REALLY.

The RL is my dad's and I've told him that if he ever wants to get rid of it, I want him to let me know first. I love driving the car and I would love even more to keep it in the family.

It's an '07 with a mere 26,000 on it. He bought December 17, 2006 with 22 miles on it, never been driven in the snow, wrecked, smoked in, or eaten in. It's been babied.

I take mine to TAO Auto in Raleigh. There is also a location in Cary. I started off taking the '95 Integra, then the '97 3.0CL. Obviously, they have always done well by me.

I fell in love with the V10 TDI first time I drove it. I was getting about 25-26 mpg on the freeway and the thing was a BEAST.

Anyways, congrats on 250K! I'll catch up in about 8600 miles...but that'll take like a year.
