2009 RL - Jpipe and High Flow PreCats

I have a 2009 RL which is a 2.5G and I'm looking to boost my performance. I talked to Richie at RV6 Performance and the current Jpipe and high flow precats won't fit. Since I live close to his shop he is willing to make custom parts for me. You guys think it is worth it? Based on my research I think the Jpipe would get me a boost of about 12-15 whp and the high flow precats about another 10whp. So I would be looking at about a 20-25 whp overall gain. I plan on leaving the stock mufflers on as I don't want to really change my sound, just looking for more responsiveness. Is this a good investment increase performance?

This thread is like deja vu.

For the price it's well worth a 20-30 HP gain!

Worth is a relative measure and can only truly be determined by the person spending the money. Is $1,000+ dollars for 10% more power in a car that I almost never get to push the limits of worth it to me? Probably not unless $1,000 is a drop in the ocean. (It isn't BTW. )

OP, what you need is a poll. Send Ken1997TL a PM and ask him to add a poll to this thread with a "Are custom Jpipe and PCDs worth $1,000?" and three answers, "yes", "no", and "whiskers".

I vote yes. Great car but if you can add any type of performance to it definelty do it. That's all this car lacks of.

Did this ever go anywhere? Doesn't look like Richie's site advertises 09+.

Had one on the 06 TL and liked it a lot.

I'm J-piping all day long and love it. I put my order in quick once i found out it was on the market and never looked back. Great for low end power.
