I have a 2007 RL tech pkg that I purchased new and its still running like a champ. I was wondering why the 2007s don't have the antenna on top of the car...not complaining just wondering. I know the 06 and 08 and beyond have the antenna.

The ones with the antenna are the ones equiped with XM Satelite radio. Thats what the antenna is for.

Not exactly true. Not all XM antennas are in the fin. The XM antenna runs along the side of the rear windshield in the 2007 tech. You can buy a dummy fin and glue it on, but I think it looks better without it.

We do have the tech pkg and XM and we do not have the shark fin...its fine at this point I do not see a need to add one!

Well the shark fin served as an antenna. I say be happy you don't have one. IMO it looks better without it. It reminds me of everyone with a neon that slaps one on.

I put these on mine.



The fins added 6 hp at least and the carbon fiber added lightness freeing up another 3-4.

I believe all 05 & 06 RLs in the US had the shark fin antenna and the 07 & 08 tech/CMBS RLS didn't have the shark fin. The 07& 08 non-tech had the shark fin for some reason. Mine is an 07 non-tech and it has the shark fin. Can someone confirm?....

You are correct. The base '07 and '08 still have the XM antenna in the fin.

i love my 08 WITHOUT the FIN i PHUCKING hate the Fin. It is PHUCKING UGLY. That is all !
