08 Acura RL wont start

My 2008 Acura RL won't start. Dome light will come on in car, but that's about it. Keyless ignition will not turn, head lights will not come on, key remote will not lock or unlock car. Recently changed batteries in key remotes. Just had battery checked and it was good. Tried to jump car and that didn't work either. What could it be??

It's most likely your battery. Get a new one then go from there. Also check if the main power fuse is not burned (its an 80amp fuse under the hood).

I am pretty sure its the battery. My battery tested good and lightly died once I got home from the shop and tried to start it again.

Since you are not able to lock or unlock the car it means that the battery died completely.

I agree with the others. If the battery is indeed good, the connections are very loose. There is no other reason you would lose all accessories.

thanks guys but I think I may have found the issue. The #7 backup fuse keeps blowing. I read somewhere in the threads about the door handles on the 05 models causing the short. Mine is a 08 and its been raining a lot here in Illinois. Not sure if that has anything to do with the moisture getting into my door handles

Door handle shorts are the most common reason for that fuse to blow. How far away from the car did you keep the fob while it was raining?

my parking spot is pretty far from my apartment. I'm hoping it's just the driver side door handle. would it be a quick fix to just unplug it? thanks in advance

That should stop the problems associated with the issue. However, your handle features will be disabled (obviously).
