05, 100k

ok guys, im here again. its an 05/100k ASI 15k otd(sales manager say they will go lower if i want to go through with the purchase), carfox showes its been maintained at the dealer since purchased.
This car is clean in and out, drives well(no whining noise, shift nice).

OPINIONS PLEASE.

I would absolutely do it!!! I think that is a great price and if you were able to verify maintenance, you're ahead of the game. These cars are very reliable and paying a premium for low miles does not ensure reliability. I would much rather buy a well-maintained car with high miles over a low mileage car with a questionable history.

How about the timing belt? That's a $1000 maintenance due at 105k.

FYI it's carfax, unless that was a joke.

remember u r going to have the timing belt service at 105k its gonna be 1k, factor that into the cost. but if all the the service records are present it may be a good deal considering the car has been taken care of

for 15K i will ask for Timing belt and Water pump replacement..
I did this on my 05 RL at 95,000 miles and now im at 135,000 miles worries free.

typo(carfax).my nephew works at a dealer and said all i will have to pay for is mostly parts for the 105k maintenance.

The sales guy just call me, guess they want that sale.

i picked up my 05 with 103K all service records provided i paid $12500. he deducted for timing belt and couple cosmetic things needed cleaned up.

My 05 just turned 100k, I would definitely do it but use the 105 service as a bargaining chip.

going back to the dealer on monday with my downpayment, i will mention the 105k service and see how much they are willing to lower the price.

you can get timing done from an independent for almost half that.
