Driver Side window 'auto up' issue

something is telling the window not to go up lol. the window WILL go up if I keep my finger on the UP switch rather than AUTO. It happens every day.

So could be the window motor.... I cant see any debris along the window to flag the 'auto up' function NOT to go up.

Go to the dealer! I had a similar issue last year but it wouldn't close/open at all. They'll most likely replace the motor. Seems like you have so many issues with your car already, that sucks... the windows and the front struts...

^^ yah although the strut issue has been fully addressed to my satisfaction.

Just gotta deal with 2 items :

1. The window issue as above
2. Random HFL disconnects / reconnects while on the phone with someone.

Have you done the relearn procedure? Just run the window up and down three times in a row.

If that doesn't cure it then off to the dealer.

not on the Acura but on the Subaru it was unplug module wait 10 minutes and re-plug and then up until window stops and then down until window stops. voilą window worked again.

I would just take it in as it is under warranty and if he continues to have problems, they are documented.

Saved my rear end when I had a coolant leak after engine overhaul that would not go away. Subaru ended up eating the entire cost of a redo on a head gasket job including machine shop costs. Turns out they STRIPPED a headbolt on reassembly and that was all she wrote. took them 22K miles of me nagging the crap out of them to get it done right.
