I keep getting a "Door Open" message on my driver side dash display by the speedometer for my passenger front and rear door. The doors are closed while this message shows and I first thought it might be my small rubber door sensors so I got 2 of them from the Acura dealership and replaced them but the "Door Open" message is still showing. To make matters worse, my car alarm went off in the middle of the night so I unlocked the doors and kept them unlocked over night but the tail breaklight stays on so I had to eventually disconnect the positive battery connector. I did not notice the wires damaged so I'm thinking possibly it's the control module board going out or something since I saw this You Tube video of similar issues I've noticed with starting my car has been difficult lately: . Any help or advice? Thank you.

 

In my experience, there have been many RDX problems and bent inner door metal, which simply prevented the closed door from reaching the button, resulting in the car never going to sleep and indicating the door was open. Are you absolutely sure the button physically presses all the way down?

 

Yes, the "open door" warning light went off yesterday after I connected the battery terminals back on it and turned it on. I can't explain why but the difference is it was raining alot the night the alarm went on and the door open warning signal kept showing up on the dash. It's possible condesation or moisture got on one of the wires that connects to the door sensors on the passenger side which causes that warning light to go on.
