2013 RDX making clanking/metal sound when driving
Need help. Literally sounds like I'm running over a metal rod or something. Car just reached 90K miles. Bought as a CPO vehicle in 2017 with 53K miles. Haven't changed brakes yet. Will most likely need to soon since it slightly making noise. Not sure if it's the pads shifting? Car recently just got new tires and alignment and I just started noticing this sound. Can't always replicate and is intermittent but tends to happen when driving slow like 15-20 mph, after accelerating from a stop or accelerating after a turn as you see towards the end of the video, coming to a stop, reversing then driving forward as you see in the beginning of the video... Doesn't make a sound when parked and turning the wheels left and right. Other than that everything seems fine. Steering seems fine. When driving at normal street and hwy speeds is ok too. Apologies for the wind noise.

Have you looked underneath the car for anything metallic sticking out somewhere? Check under the hood for any tools someone may have left in there? Can you take it back to the place that did the tires/alignment and have them make sure everything has been tightened properly?

So I took it back.. we looked under. Nothing. Everything seems fine. My left strut is leaking a bit but that can't be it. He thinks it might be the break pad shims but I'm a bit skeptical. I don't need new pads for a while according to him though. I'm going to get a quote on the struts and get them replaced so at that time he'll check out my brakes but he thinks not much can be done.. maybe some grease? I dunno. It's bother the crap out of me though.
Yeah, that would bother me too. Maybe have someone stand outside the car while you slowly drive around in a parking lot. That person can narrow down the noise to left/right/front/back. Also, if you take each wheel off and poke and prod all the different brake parts, you may find something loose.
