Reverse camera glare

I've had this problem forever but it really bothers me during the winter. The reverse camera is fantastic during the daylight or when there are no lights pointed at it, but when it gets dark any light source (cars, street lights, store window lights) significantly glares out sections of the image completely. I haven't been able to find a contrast or brightness control setting for the camera input only, just the LCD display. I'm always sure to clean the lense manually when I'm at the back of my car, but even with a clean lense it's really hard to see at night. Should I try polishing the lense itself or look into an adhesive tint for the lense? It's a 2013 Tech

The best thing to do is upgrade the back up lamps to brighter LEDs. Overpower the offending lights.
