Wiper Replacement - Where/what to buy?

After doing some initial, cursory looking... It seems that the wipers have replaceable inserts on the RDX? Is that accurate? If so, where's a good place to buy OEM inserts?

If the entire blade assembly should be replaced, where's a good source for OEM ones? Prices seem like they're all over the map.

I have never fooled with replacing the inserts. That has always seemed like a lot of trouble for not much in the way of substantial savings to me.

I have always replaced the entire assembly simply for the convenience. It takes about three minutes, usually.

I am generally partial to Bosche blades. That being said, no blade lasts as long as I would like, so, yes, I can be tempted by other brands, like Trico or Rain-X. They have all worked just fine. The last set of Bosche blades I bought on-line from Walmart, with free delivery. I have also bought locally from Advance Auto and AutoZone. All have been satisfactory.

Thanks. I, too, was fond of Bosch blades for a very long time. I had nothing but trouble with them on an Accord a number of years ago (the curve of the windshield resulted in a high spot from the blade because it didn't have the correct design to sweep correctly), and never bothered going back and just stick with OEM now. The OEM ones on the car now have been there for about 30k (assuming they were changed out when purchased as CPO, 50k if not). Perfectly reasonable amount of time to get out of a set of blades for me.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the two front wipers and the rear wiper?

I always get the wiper blades at the dealer. They are not expensive and you are not wasting the entire assembly.

My dealer does the install on the spot if you buy the inserts there, saves me a few minutes of fiddling around remembering how to do it. It takes less than 5 minutes.

I have always gone with the rubber insert replacements on all of our Honda/Acura products and been very happy with performance.

A quick check on line and these are the P/Ns. for the rubber inserts only. I didn't take the time, but there are X-ref to the Honda P/Ns that may save you a couple of $$
Rear wiper blade insert - 76632-S2K-004
Windshield wiper blade inserts -76622-STK-A02 and 76632-STK-A02

Thanks - I confirmed these part numbers for the inserts only as well.

My experience has always been that ALL replacement parts are sold as "Honda" parts. Not sure that crossing the part numbers to that of Honda would result in appreciably different prices. The good news is that it's easy to find BOTH the front inserts for about $12. The bad news is that you have to pay at least that much to ship them. Looks like Amazon is pretty well priced at about $17 for the pair.

I agree with you but depending on the part there is savings to be had by ordering the "Honda" part. Just the same way there is labor savings to be had if you were to get your Acura serviced at a Honda dealer vs. an Acura dealer.

This may not be a great example as there are a lot of X-refs and replacement (supersessions) but physically these are the same filter.
Acura Cabin Filter - 80292-TV1-E01
Honda Cabin Filter - 80292-SDA-407

If you buy OEM, eBay can be a good place to source parts. I bought 3 of the 80292-SDA-407 filters (OEM) this month from a Honda dealer on eBay for $54.09 delivered, which I thought was pretty good. Using the Bernardi parts website both the Acura and Honda parts are even money @ $17.32, but as you pointed out shipping is ridiculous.
I guess my point is that spending a little time researching PNs and where you buy from (local Honda dealer vs local Acura dealer) can save you some $$. I realize time = $$ so it may or may not be worth it depending on the part.

it would be cheaper to buy at your local dealership. I just bought a set of wiper inserts for my 2017 RDX for $ 20.87 ( taxes included) with 10%.

The ones I bought were less than that, and not from a local dealer. And I don't have to drive to the local dealer, who isn't terribly "local".

Good for you! Our local dealership matched the online dealer price a couple of years ago, but not this time. I have no complain with $20 for three inserts.

There is no need to replace a whole wiper assembly when it is just the wiper insert that is the problem. I have done so since I bought my 1999 Honda CR-V new back then and the OEM ones (Made in Japan) were as good as the ones that came with the car. I just replaced those on my 2017 RDX last March.
