We need the name...

...of the decision-maker who is deciding NOT to offer power folding mirrors and Ebony interiors combined with White exteriors in the US. Does this make sense to ANYone?

Only partly kidding...sure is some strange marketing, IMO

Surely you jest.

I wish we could get any color combo we wanted and others stuff are dealer add-on like front cooled seats like my sister-in-law did on her IS250. Might have to find another owner to see it they want to trade interiors.

Yep, it sucks that we cannot get power folding mirrors in the U.S. Both Canadian versions of RDX Tech and MDX Tech have it along with the choice of white over black interior. I wonder how MDX owners in the U.S. handle their even wider vehicle than RDX. I would have to manually fold both mirrors to get it into my single door garage. I guess most of them have spacious garages and thus not an issue for them.

We actually have a spacious garage(with an extra half-bay for 'stuff' and two separate doors(thus adding 1' in the middle); but the doors themselves are standard. When I had an MDX loaner, I had to really pay attention when entering/exiting those little doors! The relatively narrow driveway with a 90 degree turn-in to the garage doesn't help!!!

I have the Canadian model with the ebony interior/white exterior which I would have likely not gone with Acura had that not been an option for me. The power folding mirrors are a nice touch, but the house I'm currently in has a double car garage, and I'm the only one using it. I've used them a couple times parking on the street, but I could do that just as easily manually. I think it's ridiculous you don't have those options in the U.S.

Yes who knows how many more cars they would be able to sell if they gave more color combo options.
A white RDX with interiors like this for example...

That interior looks real nice. Is that a TLX or RLX?

The ventillated front seats are the only reason I'm looking into the Advance model. Living in the South, this has almost become a necessity. I feel like I have to pay $5k+ just for cool seats.

I'd like to add to the gripe list: "why do Canadians get remote start with the Tech package where us Americans have to opt for the Advance model?" (or opt for a dealer-installed accessory)

The base Enclave with cloth interior comes with remote start. Arggg.

C'mon Acura!

And how about why is the Canadian elite USD $5650 cheaper than the US Advanced with today's exchange rate comparing their respective MSRP?

I am positive, this is TLX... Hint - look at the Driver side mat.

Coming back to the topic of this thread, I wish somone from Acura will listen to what the US customers are demanding. I haven't seen any Acura official comment on why they can't offer folding power mirrors and more color choices in US.

It is futile to compare trim levels across different countries.

We probably would have gotten white with black had it been available. It's truly mind boggling why it's not an option. Honda got our money anyhow, so they probably don't care, at least in my case.

Just to make it sting a little more, our MDX also comes with around view cameras and real wood interior.

But to be honest guys, most other vehicles here cost quite a bit more and we are usually missing a bunch of options and even entire models in a vehicle lineup (for example Touareg Hybrid). Many German brands cut out models entirely when it comes to offering their high performance models.

Though I agree, power folding mirrors come on a 15k kia but not a 35k luxury vehicle? Why? Do americans not have to park anywhere?

FYI, even Mexico can get white with ebony interiors.
So mad at Acura now.

Well, we can't argue that it was warmer climate issue.

In keeping with the OP, I would have liked to been sitting in the board meeting to hear the logic of why this color combo was not brought to the US. I'd be willing to bet it may be one of the top selling combinations too.

The scary thing is...the vehicle is MADE in the USA. It wasn't so much that they didn't BRING the color combo in for the States; someone had to actively decide NOT to offer it...in the country where it's MADE!!! What possible rationale could they have for complicating life that way?

"Hey Joe...We're gonna make a bunch of white over black RDXs today! Make sure NONE of them slip out into the US market!!!"

Geez!!!

You can add heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, some models rain sensing wipers, color combos. Washer fluid size is double size of US models and has low level indicator. Remote start and why does US only get one remote with feature while Canada gets two? Acura wonders why they are selling less. Some features are available on Hondas and not acura yet. Who ever is making these decisions needs to be replaced or rethink their sales approach !

We should all contact Acura Client Relations and complain about this decision. Maybe with enough complaints it'll get them to add this color combination for the RDX.
