Trailer Hitch wiring

I bought a hitch and wiring from ETrailer.com

The install of the hitch went great. The Curt hitch does not require you to remove the exhaust, or bumper cover. You don't need to even pull the bumper.

I am having some trouble with the wiring however.

I bought the Curt kit to match.

I installed it where I think it was supposed to go and I got nothing. I didn't even have power to the fuse.

Those who have installed it. Is this the right connector?
The instructions for the CrossTour suggest a fuse. Does the RDX need one?
ETrailer was not much help.

Here are the pictures of the connector I'm talking about.

And here is one with the fishing boat hooked up. I didn't go far with no lights. But this is the first time its moved in years.

You have the correct connector. There is a mini fuse you have to install in the fusebox under the hood. It is on the drivers side of the firewall. Here is the one I installed.:

On the right hand side of the page there are "instructions" in .pdf format. They will tell you what size fuse and where to install.

Look at the picture on this page:

There should be a yellow fuse included with your kit.

Thank you to Rosen39.

The fuse was the piece I was missing. Everything works great now.

Another note, After pulling up all of the floor parts I tried to run the wiring through an existing gromet to the bumper, but it is not long enough.

could not tell from your pics but how does it look? I have seen some aftermarket hitches on Minivans and a Santa Fe where it didn't look good. To the naked eye you can see wires and that it was an obvious aftermarket add on since it was not aesthetically pleasing.

The wiring install is just fine.
The instructions say that the wire is to be kept in the vehicle unless towing. And when towing you leave the wire hanging out of the closed hatch. (I used a bit of blue tape to ensure I didn't get any scratches.)

They do not give enough wire to attempt to route the wire under the spare down around the hitch receiver. So there is no wire under the vehicle on normal days.

There are pictures of the hitch installed in other threads if you have questions on the hitch itself. I think it looks great. Not very bold.
