Rear Seat Covers
Rear Seat Covers
Does anyone have the rear seat covers? Are they easy to put on and take off? Are they washable?
I have a 90 lb. black lab who rides in the back seat, and am mainly concerned about him scratching up the leather. The covers I used on my old car don't seem to work because the leather is too slippery. Any other ideas, other than making him ride in the very back?

I have them.
The headrest covers are a PAIN to put on. The seat bottom and back take effort, but install easy enough. My fingers are always sore afterwards for a few hours, but maybe that's just me.
They are washable but not machine dry-able, so plan ahead for them to drip dry. They do a decent job of keeping the dog hair from my Shepherd off the seats, but it's not 100%. The cut outs for baby seats anchors and seat belts crate some holes for the hair and doggy dirt to get under the covers. I vacuum mine off at least once a week. I can report that they do protect the seats from her claws. Too bad they don't make covers for the doors because my dog did get to those with her claws.
Just fyi, I also got the cargo area cover and the rear bumper protection applique. The cargo area cover is helpful to keep her fur from getting into the carpets in the back where she jumps in. Seriously consider this because it saves a ton of time vacuuming. The rear applique keeps the top of the bumper from getting scratched when she steps on it with muddy paws.

Rear seat covers
My sales rep talked me out of the rear seat covers. He said they ar great if you want to keep them on all of the time but don't consider taking them on and off. He said there's a lot of stretching and adjusting and it would probably require coming into the dealer. Perhaps if I had kids in car seats but I'm beyond that. I alternate between four legged creatures during the week and two legged on the weekends.
I bought the from Amazon for my chocolate lab. I can leave it in, unclip the strap around the headrests and still put down the back seats. Last week I took the dog to a dog park and wasn't able to get all of the mud off of her. The seat cover saved the day. When I got home, I unclipped the bottom connectors, pulled out the cover and threw it in the laundry. I'm very happy with it. It protects but still looks decent and it is easy to remove when we want to use the back seats for two legged species.

My seat cover from my old car seems to be working fine, I just had to find a way to attach the bottom of the cover to the seat somehow so it doesn't slip up. I just tied some string around where the seat is anchored to the car and made a loop so I could easily attach and detach the cover.
