Rear O2 Sensor Replacement

I am about to replace both front and rear O2 sensors on my 2015 RDX base. Unlike the rear one, the front one is pretty straight forward.
Do I have to remove any reel or parts to have a better access? Also where is the connecting harness located for the rear sensor?

I can not answer your question since we only got 22k miles on our 2017. Just curious what make you to change the O2 sensors? Did you get error code for it?

doesnt look like you have a strut bar going across the engine bay, so you dont have to remove that...it looks like it's a tight squeeze of your hands tho

Reason for replacing both O2 sensors? CEL? Reason I ask is since your "prophylactically" replacing your coil packs...I thought this might be the case here as well.

Yes the same reason. It makes sense to replace the O2 sensors as preventive maintenance at around 100K miles. Or alternatively you can wait until in the middle of nowhere they give up and strand you with huge cost of towing and repair. I do not wait for catching the disease then go to the doctors for cure. I do vaccination.

You've actually had a bad O2 sensor strand you on the side of the road?

I think medication for OCD might be a better use of funds. I have never had to replace any of this stuff on any Honda. A couple well into 200k and one over 300k.
Now if one gets to 150k or so without Muzzling the VCM on one of the V6s so equipped, and there has been malfunctions caused by that, it can affect the CAT.

For what it's worth, I had to replace an O2 sensor on my 03 Accord (4-cylinder), and it was within the first 100K miles. But that's the only time, out of an awful lot of Honda miles on quite a few vehicles.

Did the bad O2 sensor leave you stranded you on the side of the road?

It did not. I did have to buy a 'special' tool, and take my passenger seat out, though.

Would have been better to spend it on a medical specialist. Fact not an opinion.

Don't try to bandy words with your betters -- and that's pretty much anyone with a pulse. You're not smart enough to know about O2 sensors, much less proper use of the English language. It's not really your fault you're stupid, but you will bear the brunt of it nonetheless. Your best bet is to say as little as possible, letting the fewest number of people glean the obvious.

Obviously you know much more about them to take the front seat off to replace them

Amazing how the admin let trolls like you and that million mile planetary guy stick around this forum with foul language. Anyway, your usage of language shows about your stupidity. Not worth of my time.

That's right, he also needs to change the fuel pump, make a complete rebuild of the transmission. In general, it is best to change the gasket between the steering wheel and the driver's seat and forget about the problems
