Power mirror not working

Hello everybody have a quick question if anyone can help. I have a 2015 RDX, and the driver side mirror stopped working altogether. The passenger mirror works perfectly fine. But when I switch to the left-hand side the mirror does not rotate in any direction it makes no sort of clicking noise or anything. Not sure what could’ve happened to it. I did pull some fuses and didn’t see any blown fuses. I’m wondering if it’s possibly the window actuator for the mirror. Just wondering if anyone can chime in and assistBefore I order parts or maybe it’s not this and you’ve had something similar happened and be able to fix it. Thanks in advance everyone!

Perhaps ask Green76 if he has any insights?

Good luck, and please keep us posted with what you find.

Thanks,
Frank

So I swapped out the actuator and nada nothing no fix. However, I also just saw on my drive to work that hte same mirror the turn signal is not working! I'm guessing this must be a fuse issue?? I have been searching for the better part of an hour on what to pull and replace anyone know what this could be? I'm thinking they are linked somehow?

You can disconnect the electrical connector at the mirror and use a volt-meter to see if you're getting any current to it during various adjustments or turn signal blinking.

Try the Main Washer fuse for starters - #13 under dash.

Maybe this will help as well - don't forget to check under hood fuses as well:

if it's the turn signal and the mirror, then there's likely an issue with the wiring entering the mirror from the door.. gonna have to start digging some more

Now you sound like a "parts re-placer" at a dealership. lol

Get a DVM (digital voltmeter) and diagnose the issue. Trust me, this is not rocket science.

See where the 12V comes to an end. Well the passenger side mirror works so you have input to the L-OFF-R switch. Does it get any further on the driver's side?

Thank you lol. Just the drivers side. Mirror not working, blinker not working on mirror and I don’t think the heated part of the mirror. I was just trying to eliminate so I could order parts for the weekend but at this point it sounds electrical! Appreciate everyone!

If you don't have a DVM/DMM, Walmart has some cheap ones for well under $20.

I have a few DMMs from a cheap one as shown to a Fluke 87. They all work.

This is one I keep in the car. I think it ran me about $15 at Walmart years ago. Get one with a 10A DC range as well for testing light circuits, etc.
