Oil Consumption
Two thoughts. How long did you wait after shutting it off to check the oil? It can take quite a bit of time for the oil to drain down from the valve train. Also, is it on a level surface as that can also give a false reading. 70% oil life left seems like alot at 6900 miles. Mine was at 15% at around 6300. Sounds like your miles are mostly highway.

When I performed my first oil change on the RDX, it was down almost 2 quarts of oil. I assumed it was due to the engine breaking in. No oil burn on the second oil change.

Most Acura owners would suggest going by the oil life indicator. It'll go off at 10-15% according to my service advisor.
I will hit the one year mark in a few days. I only have 4900 miles on mine, oil life was at 40% and I took it in this week. The owner's manual calls for changing it at one year even if the Service message doesn't appear. I'd worry about Acura not honoring the warranty if I didn't follow the manual.
I have two years free service, so that made it an easier decision for me.
At your current pace, your oil life will be down to about 15% by the time you hit a year, which may make your decision easier...

I'd get it changed for the ?expected? hot weather. If you're in the northern climes, you could wait a bit; but we've already seen 90 in central Texas and summer should hit in about 2 weeks
. I'd like the fresh stuff to be helping protect the engine when the ambient temps top 100F(starting in May around here
