New Member: 2013 RDX mods in progress

I picked up a 2013 base a few weeks ago after the birth of my first son, and have been adding some things here and there.

I started with plastidipping the rear badge and grille trim just to see how it works. I'm going to get these vinyl wrapped in a week or two, as well as the chrome window trim (black).

Then I added some Lamin-X tint (lightest) to the headlights, which was a pain to do

Today I installed the Yakima Q-towers, round bars, and fairing. I really like the looks, but the bars have a slightly downward slope per installation instructions, which looks a little funky I adjusted them the best that I could.

My next plans are to do some OEM running boards and paint them black, and maybe do some wheels down the line.

Thoughts/suggestions?

I've been a lurker for a while. It's nice to finally be part of the club!

It looks good. Don't plastidip the wheels.

The chrome trim and factory wheels provide just the right amount of contrast IMHO. the car looks great from the side profile.
Too much black and the vehicle starts to resemble a black blob.
The 2013-2015 factory wheels suit this car. Any Gen2 RDX I've seen with aftermarket wheels just seem to end up looking tacky.

I agree. To my generation, black wheels looks like your hub caps were stolen.

I don't want to be "that guy" and I am sorry if I am. But here is my opinion on your mods. The door handles should stay chrome, the rear badge and garnish should stay chrome, and the headlights look old and greenish and you are better off opening them up and painting the interior black as opposed to the front of the lens. I like what you did for the grill surround though and no don't black out the wheels, but instead go with something like satin dark chrome wheels instead (think srt8 wheels or lexus f sport wheels).

As they say, opinions are like......and we all have one, so please don't be offended by my comments, just trying to be honest with you.

Looking good. I got the hitch mounted bike rack this past week. Tinted headlights always look bad ass. You could have gone darker I feel ;-)
