New KYB Rear Shock for 2013-2015 Survey

All,

With the cold weather setting in again, I'm sure that the "clunking rear shock" issue will pick up again. Heck even down here in Tucson, mine are starting to get real obnoxious. What I'm hoping is we can start a thread and see if the new KYB Shock (P/N 554406) which came out the third quarter of this year, fixes the issue. If anyone has had them replaced, could you please report back and let us know if;

1. Did it fix the noise problem?
2. Your impression of change in ride quality (i.e. is it softer, stiffer).

Thanks for any info

Bump to keep this up top.

Has everybody's noisy shocks fixed themselves, or has everyone just given up?

Survey says:
1 Given up.
2 Moved up to a 2016.
3 Moved on to something else.
4 Patiently waiting for KYB to release the 2013+ replacement.

Hang in there for #4 and let us know how that works out.
No more skin in this game but would sure like to see others have resolution.

They have been solving the rear shock issue for many years on the 2013-2015, using KYB shocks designed for 2007-2012, they fit and work just fine. Hopefully those newer ones are even better.
