ive had this 2nd gen Rdx since november now...just finished winter here where i live in New Brunswick Canada
i love this plateform even if there isnt not much you can do esthethically and engine wise...but...heres the little things that i done so far:

-got some front tint 35%
-OEM RDX floor mats
-AEM COLD AIR INTAKE
-hood insulated removal( awesome best pair with CAI)ouf....1000x meaner
-civic Sports wheels

future mods:
-blacking out all the chrome and the beak
-magnaflow dual muffler
-ktuner if sometimes in the future they make a tune(that i doubt its going to happen)

My $.02, those wheels look fantastic on the RDX. Take it up a notch and figure out how to get the Acura logo in the center-cap :-).

 

ill get some oem acura center caps for sure later this summer

 

The wheel looks great except missing Acura logo! I am curious why you removed the insulation on the hood?

 

I've got the same question here. Wouldn't removing it just cause the hood to get extremely hot?

 

i remove this hood insulation beacause now the VTEC screams way better and i live in canada so maybe 2 month of hot weather per year here....so no its not going to get extremly hot......lol

 

I doubt a warmer hood would cause any issue. Most of the standard Honda vehicles with these engines don't use any insulation (or have much less). And in the past, they didn't even bother. If anything it helps melt off snow/water when it rains.

Ill be doing this later today since I love the sound of that AEM intake as well, and a 30-second mod to change the sound a bit more sounds great to me.
