Does anyone have a DIY? I'd like to swap those out but wasnt sure where to pry the cover open. Do i pry open the plastic trim around it?

Yes I have done it. You can only pry it open from one of the shorter sides. I don't remember exactly left or right but if you look closely, don't pry from the side with wire. Here is a video for Honda Fit (FF to around 4 min mark). Very similar.

so I don't scratch the plastic trim surrounding the lens. plus I didn't have to remove the lens housing. it was much easier actually and I didn't even use a tool to pry off the plastic trim.

Ha! I should have been more clear
I'm wondering what you are achieving by replacing the lamps...more light?...brighter...whiter...some other color?
