Ecu ?
Ecu ?
Been chasing this problem for sometime now. When sitting at idle and in gear at a stop light or in line at fast food, the engine will stumble , rpm
will drop and temp gauge drop down as if the engine had been turned off. This is only for a fraction of a second and then the engine
will be running again. No codes are thrown , just the blip or momentary loss of power and just as fast it's back running again. Have replace crank sensor
along with ignition relay but no help with the problem.. Could this be a ECU going bad and if so can I use one from another rdx ?
Any ideas appreciated .

Because of their high reliability, these units cost in the $25 range, so it costs you almost nothing to buy one, borrow an Autel(Snap-On can't do that.) from someone and pair it with an immobilizer. Replacement and pairing takes about 10-15 minutes.
When you enter the Immobilizer module via the Autel scanner, there is a procedure - Replacement of the ECU (Snapon also has such a procedure, but it does not work in my two very $$$ scanners).
Looking around the small town I'm in trying to find someone that make this happen with the ECU work. Might go off and pick up a piece of equipment that can
do the job. Would still be cheaper than having the dealer do the work. Thanks Again.

This will only work if you buy a scanner on Amazon, do the work, and then return it. Because $500 Autel is still not cheap for a one-time procedure.
