Battery terminal replacement - any recommendations?

Pretty straightforward. No corrosion or anything, just a loose fit on the positive. (the thread appears to be stripped so the bolt will only tighten it to a certain point). Wondering if anyone had any input/suggestions for brands or parts. Of all the things I've done to our Acuras over the years, I've never done a terminal replacement.

Are you looking to replace the battery terminal or is the clamp on the battery cable giving you the issue? If it's the cable and you windup replacing the battery down the road, wouldn't you have the same issue with the new battery??
My wife had an issue years ago with our MDX while picking up the kids from school. It wouldn't start and another parent diagnosed the issue as a loose battery cable clamp. For whatever reason it would no longer tighten enough to remain tight on the terminal. He grabbed a piece of metal (aluminum???) from his truck and put it around the terminal and re-clamped the battery cable. The extra diameter on the terminal post alleviated the issue with the clamp. This worked for a week or so until I had the dealer replace the cable under warranty.

I would suggest replacing the whole cable. It’s not too expensive.

Replacing a stripped bolt is pretty cheap, too.

I had the same problem. I purchased a "shim" to put on battery post and it worked great. The cost was minimal.

Thanks for the feedback guys. If it were my TL I'd probably just put a shim in there, but I'm likely just going to replace the entire cable. Which normally I would think is crazy talk, but it's more for the peace of mind that a correct OEM part is preventing my wife from getting stranded somewhere, as opposed to me shimming it or trying to clamp a new terminal onto the end of the positive wire.

I put a battery terminal spacer/shims in my RDX a few days back. It works great. Here is the link:https://www.autozone.com/batteries-s...ims/257147_0_0
