back up sensors

Has anyone had their Acura dealer install back up sensors on their RDX ?
Do the sensors work as claimed ?

I do not see them listed as an accessory anymore. I really miss having them, even with the backup camera. It's very assuring to listen and look at the camera when backing into a tight spot or garage.

I had them in my 2007 RDX, but it seems they are no longer available. I wonder if the car is still wired for them? Probably not.

In China they are offered on the RDX. I was trying to find out how to obtain the parts to install them on my car. I did not see a camera offered for the RDX though.

The lack of back-up sensors seems like a glaring omission in this class. I wish ours had them.

Likewise. My 2012 Focus had them front rear and sides as part of the self park option group. Not much else I miss about the Focus though.

I don't get it...I would take the camera over back-up sensors 99 times out of 99. I have one on one vehicle, the other on another...keep your beepers, I'll take the camera!

With the back up camera, I find I am not wanting for sensors. However they would be nice on the front as I am always misjudging how far I am from obstacles when parking (usually there are several more feet I can move forward).

Most "luxury" cars have both, as opposed to either-or. Heck, the GMC Terrain we considered had both. The sensors are nice if a child, for example, runs behind the car while you're reversing and maybe looking over your shoulder for traffic and not directly at the camera at the time. They're complementary.

I had them installed by the dealer on my MDX and they work great! I highly recommend them.

This sucks. I wish it had backup sensors.
At my dealership, I was in for an oil change and they had a 2013 RDX with backup sensors in the showroom. I asked the salesman that I bought my RDX from and she said "Acura just hasn't updated the estore yet". After having a little chat with the salesman, I went to service and asked, that guy had no idea what I was talking about. I feel like they just bought something on ebay and stuck it on or just used the first gen. sensors.
REGRETTING buying the base model, the TECH has a bigger screen, I wouldn't be thinking about this right now if I had a tech.
