Question 2017 RDX - loose side mirror

Hi all-This is my first post. I am hoping to find a solution to a loose passenger side mirror on my 2017 RDX. Suddenly, my side mirror is not secured to the mounting post but it is still wired and if it is situated in position, the electronic movement still works. The entire mirror wobbles out of place when driving. I've scoured the mirror diagrams but have not found any information on how this pivoting area is secured. Is there a screw that might have fallen out? Could the plastic post have broken in some way? Is this repairable without buying a whole new mirror? See pics of issue and THANK YOU to anyone who can help.

Usually there should be a non-separable factory riveted cylindrical bushing that holds the spring in a compressed position. I doubt that you can fix it, so I advise you to buy a used OEM mirror.

I'm not sure if this has information that would help you, or if you have seen this pdf, but just in case, I would look at post #127 in the thread "RDX Factory Service Manual Requests" in this forum. It has information for servicing the mirrors, and may give you clues about what is wrong.

RDX Manual info for power mirrors
