optimal pressure for stock tires

i know i know...i should just get new ones, actually im THIS close to getting those sumitomo's or a set of khumo...235/45/17 of course, but for the time being, ive still got the stockers (with about 6500 miles on them....anyhow, lately the little buggers have been SQUAKIN waaaaay too much, its like at every stop light i dont even step on it hard but they break loose!! damn i hate that....i didnt do any performance mods and my car didnt magically get more powerful so it must be someting with the tires...what is the best tire pressure to run on the stock tires for normal everyday driving with the "occasional" hard drivin run???

Check the inside of your door jam.

For mine, its 32psi for the front and 29psi for the rear, but that's for a 3.0.

I had both my front and rear at 38 psi, and the dealership put them down to 37 when I had the first service.

I think recommended is 32psi. I run my tires at 35psi all around.

32-35psi.. for normal driving

If U're launching at the tracks, lower the fronts to about 25.

the tires have a different recommendation than the door jam... i think it says like max 41 on the tires or something... my fronts were at 32 and i took it to get 7500 mi service... they pumped them both up quite a bit... before, my steering felt quite hard and heavy, but when they pumped them up (not sure what level) it felt like i got a brand new upgraded power steering or something... i kind of miss the heavy steering though...

My Michelins got hard and slick after 18,000 miles and broke loose on occasion. I think they had dry rot or sonething. They still had 6/32" plus of tread but something was wrong. New sumos+ at Sears cured my ills. Car rides and handles much better than stock. Superquiet. Z rates and 360 treadwear. Take in tirerack invoice to Sears and ask them to match it per their matching price policy. Policy is on all their ads. $89.00. dbox got them too and gives them high marks
