What are your plans on the car? My friend have NF210 on his car...

And I think he's using KYB shock... or Koni. Forgot.

It comes down to how much you want to spend. The megan and k sport are the same thing and can be had for 700 new. These are probably the cheapest coils. Then you have tein, amr, etc in the 1-2k range. If you look up coilovers for the 98-02 accord you can get more options and they will fit our car. Some other examples are KW, tanabe, JIC. Then you have zeal coilovers that are 2500 new.

Out of the ones i listed I like the tein, amr, jic, and zeal but they are pricey.

If thats gonna be ur daily spring/shocks combo will do. I'd love to go lower but then i would scarp everywhere. NJ/NYC area isnt best choice for slammed cars either. Springs will lower you about 1" to 1.8" coils from 1.5"
To 3" or even 4". I like springs/shocks combo, stance is ok and its still comfy.

B&G makes a reasonably priced spring/shock combination.

Otherwise if you're looking for ride height adjustment for a daily driver I'd highly recommend the TEIN Basics. Great quality, sporty but not stiff ride, and ride height adjustability.

Hi i'm pretty much on the same boat as the OP, my 01 cl-s is also my daily. Would the TEIN basics allow me to do a 2" drop?

oh and another thing, I was thinking of getting the Ksport pro coilovers, how does it compare to the TEIN basic in terms of ride quality, and the product quality itself and correct me if I'm wrong but the KSport costs more right?

I've been searching through the forums, and other sites about this but I just want to hear from another point of view cause I think i'm close to deciding which one I want to get.

K-sports are one of the cheaper brands, but considering what is available I think they are pretty good.

From what I've heard *mostly* the ride is pretty comfortable and you can slam it if you want to. Tiens IMO are over priced for what you get.

I still think that dollar for dollar the k-sports have more value but I've never owned a set of either so my opinion doesn't hold much ground.

KSports/Megans/Omni are undervalved and oversprung. Thats why they ride so soft. They use generic valving for all cars and just put stiffer springs on them. Theyre springs are low quality and arent a matched set (quality companies measure the spring rate on every spring and match up springs with similar ratings) and their struts have a tendency to blow.

If you care about ride comfort I don't believe you'll enjoy the Ksports.

how's the ride with GC coilovers and stock shocks? Anyone know how long the stock shocks will last until they are blown with this setup?

TEIN Basics can lower the vehicle more than 3" in the F. They are a great daily driver setup.

K Sports offer more adjustability in terms of ride height and damping but they are firm and more track-inspired.

Ok I got 2 more questions..

- I want to get 18" wheels, I probably need a camber kit right?

- Is there anything else I need to drop my car properly apart from the coilovers?

It doesnt matter what size wheels you run, if you drop the car you will need a camber kit.

Depends on the drop. If youre slammed youll probably need a front camber kit. If its a subtly drop, only the rear is needed.

Once you lower the car, get an alignment and find out what they say.

Send me a PM with your vehicle info and your state/zip code. Also let me know which coilover system you're interested in.
