Have you tryied to see if the adjusting srcews are loose.
It will make that sound.
grab the shock body below the lower adjusting screws and pull back and forth on it.You will be able to tell.

How long have you had the coilovers? Do they make any noise while driving?

I had a similar issue whenever I went over bumps, it turned out that the screw on top of the shock that held the pillow mount was loose

My guess would be a bushing then, I had this issue when I would get in the car, before the rubber bushings disintegrated and was replaced
