Talking CLS drop ?s

Hey, I will be picking up a CLS soon and wanted to start pricing how much it will be to drop it. It will probably be one of the first things I do when I get it. So . . . I am turing to you guys for some help. I am coming from an 05 TL that I sold and really have no idea about this type of thing.

How for should I drop the car?
What is a good brand to look for?
How much after installation?

Thanks in advance

One Possible set up to consider: Matching springs and shocks

I am going to do the H&R Sport (not H&R OE Sport) drop which I think is 1.75" front and 1.5" rear and it looks like this:

(credit to whomever owns this CL^^)

Springs (H&R Sport #51858, which are from the 98-02 Accord V6 and the 99-03 TL) cost me $215.xx shipped and I also got Tokico HP (non adjustable) shocks from ebay for $259.00 shipped. Installation is going to be $60 for me, but thats because I got the hook up, other members have been quoted anywhere from $120 to $500+. I hear its a pretty easy DIY if you have the tools, but when it comes to suspension and brakes, I'd rather have someone w/ experience do it.

Most people with this drop do not need a camber adjusting plate, but some member such as the owner of the CL above did, it varies car by car.

Do you foresee any probelms with speedbumps/potholes?

My school has a few speed bumps to worry about and I am from CT so every spring there are new potholes to worry about from the winter. That's why I ask.

here are 2 different suspension drops on 19" wheels. if the roads are rough in your part, I'd say get shocks and springs. if you want slammed and don't mind a rougher ride....coilovers. good luck

dropped on Comptech Coilovers

dropped on AMR Engineering Coilovers

haha I feel you, my school has 18 high top speed humps I have to go over every school day! I always creep over them though and by creep I mean less than 4 mph. I'm graduating from that speed bump hell in about a month and the ones at the college I'm considering aren't bad at all.

this thread should answer your question: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151319

Short answer from reading that thread: If you go Slow (slow like me) over speed bumps, you shouldn't have any trouble at all.
