18x7.5, offset +40, will they fit?

i just found the rims i want after searching for a month, but as the title says, it's 18x7.5, offset +40. i know it's a close fit, and i have H&R sport drop, could i run these rims with 225/40/18 tires and not rub? w/o rolling the fenders? the seller concluded it should fit, but i gotta ask the pros here.

Might fit, but the odds are you will rub. & a 40 sticks out way too much. It will look dumb & getto.

When you drop it will rub. I had +42 & they rubbed when dropped & didn't when it was stock.

What kind of wheels? Maybe another brand makes a similar wheel with a higher offset.

I think you'll rub a little. Maybe you can roll the fenders a bit, but I don't recommend it. Get a higher offset if you can.

It might not rub, but it'll look dumb, imo. My track wheels are 17x7 & +40 offset and no way I'd run them all the time. The tires stick out past the fenderwell in the front, and they fling shit all over the side of the car and I even have mudflaps.

Def try to get at least a +45, dont want to have to replace them later because you dont like the fitment.

Got 18X7.5 +42, tires are 235/40/18 comptech springs. They do rub a little if I have passenger in the back. If I have 225/40/18 they might not rub. +42 and +40 is only 2mm different! 225 tires is a about 5mm thinner on each side. I will take the chance if you are going with 225/40/18

how are you tires/rims relative to the fenders? does it stick out? and got any pics of them? that would help me a lot when deciding. thanks again!! gives me hope in my endeavor.

Even +42 will rub with an H&R Sport drop.

You need a minimum of +45 on a 7.5" wheel. Trust me on this, I've been through this toooo many times.
