when will you know its time for water pump and timing belt?

when will you know its time for water pump and timing belt?

Im at 150k car runs great. But i do wanna know when its time for water pump and timing belt swap?? I never did it since i had the car at 80k

I didn't do mine until 175xxx and it ran decent but then I just decided to do it one day and It was a night and day difference how the motor felt

Can't really tell until you remove the belt to see how it really is. Time and mileage determine if it's time for a replacement.
Just remember that if the belt breaks then the pistons will hit and you'll need a new engine.

this was mine after 175xxx original belt


I mean that the motor is running more "tight" then when the belt was stretched out, everything runs smoother I had this valve tick that actually went away after getting the belt done so when I say night a day difference when you smash on the gas now then smash on it after the job is done you notice a big difference....pickin up what im layin down?

I changed mine at 105k, 7 years and it just had small cracks.

I did mine at 10 years and 118K I would not go much beyond that... rubber dries out over time so...
