transmission blowout

Hey there
I own an acura 1.7el (2003) and today while I was driving on the hwy, the transmission spontaneously blew out. It has a hole in it about the size of a fist. It has just over 100,000Kms so I'm not covered under the powertrain warranty. I'm just wondering if anybody has had this problem, and whether any of you know if this is a recall prob, or something that acura is responsible for. I am a girl driver and this car has always had its regular scheduled maintenance. Thanks for any of your time.

Call your dealer and give them you vin # they should be able to tell you if its still under warranty or not. If not...about $3k will solve your problems.
