What gear does it slip 2-3 shift ? Does it slam after it finally shifts the gear? What I would do is check CPC VALVE A-B oil tubes. There are three litle tubes with steel mesh on one side. Middle one usually gets stuffed with friction garbage. When these get clogged you will have your tranny slipping and slaming gears and finally desintegrate.

See if your car is covered under the tranny warranty.

Same problem here

celynka, Can you elaborate on the "CPC VALVE A-B oil tubes" scenario. My '01 CL-S has just started to slip in 2nd under moderate acceleration at 145k miles. Are said valve and tubes internal to the transmission case or can they be R&R'd from the outside?

These things are on the outside. A-B valve is bolted on the top of transmision with 6 screws. It has two black and brown plugs. If you decide to take it out, you need to remove battery and you will see it under left top corner of the battery plate.
