Any suggestions on what short ram I should use on my 2001 Acura CL Type S? I have researched online and it looks as if the only SRI's available are the Weapon R and the Spectre. I am not going to upgrade to a CAI until later down the road as I am looking to upgrade other parts of my car.

Only reason I want to upgrade is for the roar sound it gets, and I don't want to deal with taking out the air resonator and risking hydrolock. I am currently running the OEM air filter as well. Also, would me just buying a 90 degree piping and running that into my stock intake hose and just pop a cone filter on work? if so what piping should I use? Suggestions would help.

 

3" ABS pipiing from lowes / homedepot works . Shoot I made mine and took it off cause it roars so loud lol . I'll sell it to you for $50 if you want it, I paid that much for just the cone filter . I've driven threw some intense floods and it only gets damp in the corner .

 

Keep the stock intake or go cold air.

short ram= hot air intake = worse for performance than stock



Also; let me get this straight...you dont want to do the resonator removal for fear of hydrolock but wants a cold air intake eventually!??!?!
AND AND AND, you're gonna get a cold air intake eventually and want a short ram intake for now? if you're wasting money like that; why not just give me 100 dollars
