AEM Short ram intake

I got my AEM short ram intake today & went to install it & either Im missing something,or the tube is too long on the throtle side, the tube seems to be a couple inches too long,I made sure to read the instructions(pictures would be helpful here!)& followed them too.If anyone has this set up,or experience installing it,please let me know.I am quite confident in my ability to work on my car,so hopefully its something dumb & easy to do.Thanks people!

Do you have an auto or a manual? If your trying to put a manual intake in the auto it will be too long. The manual doesn't have VSS.

If that is the case you can just cut the excess off with a hacksaw.

turns out the one they sent me was for the non-S-type! so nowI have to send it back & get hammered for a re-stocking fee,or try to sell it,The people I bought it from said they will work with me,so we will see.If all else fails, craigs list it will be!

If THEY sent you the wrong one you shouldn't have to pay a fee.

Something tells me it was purchased off Amazon . They have confusing details and poor ratings from selling those.

I got it off E-bay,& although it didnt say it was for the S-type,it didnt say that it was not,so I guess it could go either way as far as whos fault it was.It would appear that AEM doesnt make the short ram for the 01 S-type. I found one that looks totally bad-ass, the Weapon r dragon, the thing looks wicked,& they advertise 7.5HP to the wheels. If anyone knows about these, plz let me know, thanks to all!

I have a hard time believing just an intake will give you a 7.5HP boost at the wheels on our cars. But it will sound nice - our cars are too quiet! My $0.02

The weapon r is too short

I know cause I have that on mine, you will need like a 3 in extension for it to fit right.

just use a hacksaw or a sawzall and trim it
