Replaced ballast, still having headlight problems... HELP.
I am so tired of chasing my tail with whatever stupid electrical problem is going on with my passenger side headlight.
As is typical, my right ballast went out. I eventually replaced it this past weekend with an aftermarket HID kit from DDM tuning. Tested everything before I put the bumper back on, everything worked great. Stoked to have two functional headlights for the first time in longer than I ought to admit.
The very next day, I go to turn the lights on.... back to the same shit. No passenger side low-beam. There is a clicking sound, which I thought was coming from the relays but if I pull the plug to the bulb, the clicking stops.
I tested with a new relay to see if that was the problem, no dice. All wiring connections from splicing, etc seem to be intact. Driver side light was done exactly the same and is working fine.
What is the deal here? Is it likely that I have bad wiring on that side? I haven't had a chance to do a direct battery test yet simply due to a lack of random wire lying around with which try, but it's on the list.
Anyone? I am beyond frustrated with this crap. High-beam and turn signal works fine, so this is definitely ballast-related, somehow.
